Overview
The Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 Viewer lets you view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions. The PowerPoint 2003 Viewer also supports opening password-protected Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

Note: You can view and print presentations, but you cannot edit them in the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer.

The following Microsoft PowerPoint features are not supported by this viewer:
Information Rights Management (IRM) presentations.
Running macros, programs, or opening linked or embedded objects.

Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Service Pack 3, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP

Installation Instructions

To install this download:

• Download the file by clicking the Download link (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
• Double-click the PPViewer.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
• Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

To install on a computer running Windows 98 Second Edition (SE):

• Install the updated Windows installer for Windows 98.
• Restart your computer.
• Follow the installation instructions in the section above.

To specify a download install location (for network administrators):

• On the Start menu, click Run, and type command.
• Navigate to the path of the installed PPViewer.exe program.
• Type ppviewer.exe /c:“msiexec /i ppviewer.msi INSTALLLOCATION=c:\target” where c:\target is the installation directory.
• Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Instructions for use:

Once you have installed this download, from the Start menu under All Programs, open Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2003.

Note: The PowerPoint 2003 Viewer registers with the .ppt, .pot, and .pps file extensions only if a version of PowerPoint is not installed on your computer. If registered, double-clicking on these file types will launch the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer.

To remove this download:

• On the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Control Panel.
• Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
• In the list of currently installed programs, select Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2003 and then click Remove or Add/Remove. If a dialog box appears, follow the instructions to remove the program.
• Click Yes or OK to confirm that you want to remove the program.
• To remove the download file itself, delete the file PPViewer.exe.
