WAC ServicesThe WAC is committed to helping OSU faculty and staff implement the OSU Minimum Web Accessibility (MWAS) standards in their program, department, college, course, and professional web sites hosted on OSU servers. We offer the following services:
Request any of our services by contacting the WAC: email us or call (614) 292-1760. WAC Web Site Analysis.The OSU Web Accessibility Center (WAC) analyzes web pages for their accessibility to people with disabilities. The WAC offers this as a free service to OSU faculty and staff in order to further its mission to expand opportunities for people with disabilities through the innovative uses of computer technology. The WAC's goal is to ensure that all distance education and online courses at OSU are fully accessible to persons with disabilities. To have your web site analyzed, fill-out a Review Request online. The WAC will report any accessibility and/or browser compatibility errors found on the page. The WAC bases it's analysis of accessibility on the OSU Minimum Web Accessibility Standards,. You may additionally request validation for Section 508, and/or the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 1.0). The WAC also analyzes web pages for compatibility with various browsers and asssitive technology. WAC ListservGet news about accessibility policies and standards that affect you. Receive updated information on upcoming WAC events and workshops. Join the WAC listserv and stay informed about accessibility resources you can use. This low-volume listserv distributes announcements once or twice per month. You can signup online.
